My name is Eytihia and that's Greek for happiness or bliss.
What do I like to do?
Film and music are my passions but I've spent most of my career in graphic arts, web development, multimedia and marketing. Business comes naturally to me. Planning, budgets, goals, and deliverables is what every project is about. UCLA gave me some screenwriting skills and friends more talented that I allowed me to participate in the development, preproduction and postproduction, of several indie films. I'm back in school to help hone my skills as every professional needs refreshing from time to time.
Favorite Movies/TV Shows/Music
Hayao Miyazaki is one of my favorite film directors. Animated films excite me and without a good story and great production values, you don't have much. Animation is critically rooted in these aspects. Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke are among my favorites. Pixar is also a great studio. Up, Wall-e and Toy Story are amazing. I'm also a fan of Quentin Tarantino.
Comedy. Comedy. Comedy. That's what I love to watch. Brooklyn 99 is a great example of a show I enjoy.
My musical tastes are wide and broad. Pop-country is a slice of the pie I don't really have the stomach for. Prog-rock from 1968-1974, 70's funk, disco, punk rock from 1975-1985, 80's new wave, 90's grunge, house, techno, rap, hip-hop... it all appeals to me. Some heavy metal I do enjoy but I couldn't ever really get into it that much.
If you could make any media without restrictions, what would it be?
Movies! If I could makes movies without restriction... JOY!
What are your goals?
My goal is to sharpen my established skill-set and go above and beyond projects of the past. I'm not sure when I'll graduate. Lifelong learning is what it's all about and I already have a BA in Politics from UCSC.
Why are you interested in making media?
I'm interested in making media because it's the most entertaining way I can picture spending the rest of my days on Earth.
